Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to visit Madaba. The city of mosaics, both in churches and in houses, their highly technical nature and artistic value, prove that this Byzantine bishopric. Their art reached its apogee in the 5th and 6th centuries. At the Church of St George in Madaba, you will visit the "map of Palestine" unearthed in 1898 when the church was being built. This mosaic, dating from the middle of the 6th century and barely altered, traces the geography of the Byzantine Near East. It originally measured 25 m by 5 m and was made up of two million tesserae. You will then visit Mount Nebo, 10 km north-west of Madaba. It became a place of universal pilgrimage from the beginning of the Christian era.
Continuing on to the fortress of Karak - Wadi Kerak, the valley below the city, was one of the main routes into Palestine. Continue to Dana via the desert road. Dinner and overnight in Dana

Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a full-day visit of Petra. The pink city "Petra", "the stone" in Greek. The eighth wonder of the world and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. You will cross the Siq, a long, narrow fault caused by a prehistoric earthquake. At the end of the Siq, the most majestic monument in Petra, "Al Khazneh" or the "Treasure", with its Greco-Roman decoration, suddenly appears. What a dazzlingly beautiful sight... Beyond the Treasury, there are hundreds of sculpted buildings, temples, royal tombs, houses, burial chambers, banqueting halls, baths, monumental staircases, arched doorways, cobbled streets and, above all, the Roman Theatre with its 3,000 seats. You will cross the Roman Cardo and visit the Qasr El Bint, the only temple still standing and in a good state of conservation. Overnight at the hotel

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the Dead Sea for a swim and an unforgettable experience. Its special climate makes it an exceptional holiday destination. The Greeks called it the "Asphaltite Lake", the Muslims the "Stinking Lake", the Hebrews the "Sea of Salt" or the "Sea of Lot".75 km long and 15 km wide, the Dead Sea covers an area of 920 km2, almost twice the size of Lake Geneva. The maximum depth of the Dead Sea is 399 m. The lower level of the Jordan Depression is therefore 410 m below sea level, making it the lowest point on earth. Overnight at the hotel

Departure for Jerash. Morning departure for the ancient city of Jerash or Gerasa, about 45km from Amman. It is the second largest site in Jordan after Petra. Today, it is considered to be one of the best preserved Roman provincial cities in the Near East. Hidden under the sand for several centuries before being discovered and restored over a period of 70 years. The city was built entirely of pinkish-orange limestone, magnified by the sun's rays at dawn and sunset. The heyday of Gerasa dates from the 2nd and 3rd centuries. Jerash is the epitome of Roman municipal planning, vast and formal, throughout the Middle East. It is adorned with paved, colonnaded streets, huge temples on hilltops, delightful theatres, spacious public squares, baths, fountains and walls pierced by towers and gates.
Return to Amman for a visit to the capital of the Hashemite kingdom. Nestling between the eastern desert and the Jordan Valley, Amman is home to a million inhabitants. Built entirely of beige-white limestone, the city is an aggregate of cream-coloured cubes, gilded by the sun. From the top of the citadel, don't miss the superb view over the lower town. But before heading down there, a visit to the Archaeological Museum, the Temple of Hercules and the Umayyad Palace is a must. Then a short tour of the lower town, which has preserved a beautiful Greco-Roman theatre that can seat around six thousand spectators. Continuation to Amman. Overnight at the hotel
